Core size

The three standard sizes are 25mm, 57mm, and 75mm. The size shall frequently be in relation to the length of your roll. A longer roll will typically demand a thicker mandrel for support. Film grade
This term refers to the quality of the adhesive you use to stick your film together. School or standard film will likely do for day-to-day laminating. Roll width

A machine clearly won’t be able to cope with a roll exceeding its own width. However, it can employ ones that are narrower in some cases.
Film thickness
Like with standard pouches, lamination films exist in many thicknesses. The thicker your film, the more rigid and sturdy your laminating shall be. For instance, if you need something to stand up on its own, it is preferable to use a thick film.
